Short workouts

As seen on my plan, on the days when I don't run I do 30-45 minutes workout sessions. On this page I will be showing and explaining the types of workouts I will be doing in this time. 

TRX

TRX stands for 'Total (body) Resistance eXercise'. This training device uses your own body weight to complete exercises that help develop your muscular strength, endurance, coordination, balance, mobility, flexibility and core stability. 

"Runners constantly use the three-joint movement of the hip, knee, and ankle to propel themselves forward" Says Justin Thomas Sanches, a certified personal trainer and master TRX instructor. By challenging and changing these aspects with an unstable tool like the TRX, you are essentially strengthening those movement patterns in ways beyond the linear motion of running. Therefore training with the TRX improves your running performance as a whole.

Nike Training Club

The app 'Nike Training Club' provides workouts and programs to help strengthen your muscles and mindet with guidance from trainers, athletes and wellness experts. There are different workouts available that target different parts of the body. 

​

What I love about this app is that it not only provides workouts that can be done at home, but it gives you guidance and tips whilst doing the workouts.
